Well, at the last minute I couldn’t go on this one but it turned out tremendously well for everyone who travelled into the path of the Total Solar Eclipse.

I love shadow action! In this video from Sirius Travel in Majorca, Spain, I have darkened the shadow and increased the speed so you can see the shadow of the Moon racing through the sky and eclipsing the Moon. Very cool. Also interesting to note that although there were clouds across the western sky where the eclipse was visible, they didn’t destroy the view entirely. Clouds and haze from wildfire smoke were a constant worry for everyone in Spain in August 2026.
Dr. Sarah Marwick was good enough to fill in for me on the Polar Latitudes expedition to the coast of Greenland, and her view of the eclipse was clear and spectacular…

And my good friend Sami Safarian was equally rewarded with clear skies on the northwestern coast of Spain ….
On to Libya in August 2027….
