I have always said that lunar eclipses are not nearly as exciting as solar eclipses, and this is certainly true – especially if it is only a partial lunar eclipse! But with no solar eclipses happening right now, this is the closest we are going to get to some solar system excitement. This video compresses several hours of footage into one minute. The top edge of the Full Harvest Moon sails through the bottom of Earth’s shadow to produce a noticeable darkening on the Moon’s upper limb. Great fun to shoot!
