Hi David,
So where are you planning to be July 22? I am assuming China? On your own or with a group?
I prompted people to get to Shanghai, too, But then I wonder — Can people really get into China on that short a notice — are not visas required, passports cleared, etc that all takes time and bureaucracy? As an alternative, don’t wait any longer to plan for where you want to be in 2010. The options for that eclipse are much more limited due to the scant landfall it makes, so available spots are filling up fast or are very costly — i.e Easter Islanders charging the usual “eclipse rates,” making money while the Sun doesn’t shine! But in many ways its an eclipse with better weather prospects and totality just as long for most places along the path. — Alan Dyer
Hello David
Just had a skype with Tony and he informed me that you are in China for the big moment.
Well done, and btw, great website!
The NYTimes has just posted some images, spectacular really.
Stay well and keep chasing.
I look forward to looking at your site for updates and images.
Best regards
