Eclipse expeditions like this can take a lot out of you! But it’s all worthwhile when you can bring home some stunning images. A big part of it for me! And while scattered, high cloud hampered observers across the Indonesian archipelago for this eclipse, the cloud patterns actually added to the images at my location on Tidore Island. Here are a few brief clips from the various angles I filmed during totality on March 9, 2016. Short film coming! This eclipse also features the close-up shot of totality with the palm leaves gently brushing the corona in the wind! I can’t tell you how much I love this effect. Never seen anything like it before.
