Annular Eclipse in Argentina February 26, 2017

I couldn’t make it to Argentina last Sunday to see the Annular Eclipse – but Canadian Stephen Bedingfield did.  This expert image captures the rare phenomenon visible along the edge of the Moon as it lines up with the edge of the Sun. NASA selected this shot for Astronomy Picture of the Day on March 1.  It’s all just a taster of what’s to come when a Total Solar Eclipse sweeps across the North American continent on August 21 this year.  Where will you be when the Moon’s shadow touches down on Earth?  Quit wasting your life – get your ass to totality!
